Join us down under! Scuba Center is headed back to Australia to dive the largest coral reef system in the world, the Great Barrier Reef! That's not all! On this comprehensive trip, you'll spend time in Cairns, Kuranda, Sydney, and the Blue Mountains! Australia has the opposite seasons to us here in the Northern Hemisphere, so you may ask, why travel to Australia in July? For our main attraction, the Minke whales! In June and July, Minke whales travel through the Great Barrier Reef giving divers and snorkelers the unique opportunity to interact with the whales in warm water.

Australia Group Dive Trip | Scuba CenterAfter dinner on the waterfront and one night in Cairns, the group will board the Spirit of Freedom for a week of diving and adventure! Throughout the week, you'll dive the rarely visited Ribbon Reefs - including the famous Cod Hole site - as well as Osprey reef in the Coral Sea (weather permitting)! With up to 26 dives (weather dependent), you'll have ample opportunity to embrace the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef. Commonly seen in these parts are; vibrant corals, giant clams, anemones, large schools of pelagic fish, giant potato cod, and sharks! And don't forget about the Minkes! All-in-all, we expect this to be a spectacular week of chance encounters.

Kuranda Scenic Railway | Australia | Scuba CenterAfter a magical week at sea, the group will return to Cairns for 2 more nights. During this time, you'll experience the Kuranda Scenic Railway - a beautiful train journey that winds through lush rainforest, offering breathtaking views of the region's landscape. Also on the itinerary is a visit to Rainforestation Nature Park. You'll enjoy a guided tour aboard a World War II Army Duck and gain insights about plants, wildlife, and the world heritage protected Wet Tropics Rainforests. Immerse yourself in indigenous culture with the interactive Pamagirri Aboriginal experience featuring traditional dance performances, the Dreamtime Walk where you will learn about hunting with spears and boomerangs, and see how the didgeridoo is made and played!
