Join Scuba Center and Cuba Scuba Tours as we
continue to explore Cuba. We have completed several trips to Cuba since 2013
and have experienced firsthand the wonderful diving and fascinating culture
that Cuba offers. This land based trip includes dive research opportunities
as well as many cultural research experiences. Cuba Scuba Tours is an
organization licensed for 515.575 Humanitarian travel that leads groups to
participate in a humanitarian-environmental project with meaningful contact
through citizen science marine discoveries and cultural activities. These
educational exchanges bless the Cuban people and offer transformative
experiences to travelers to understand the setting in which Cubans
experience their own marine environment and efforts to protect/conserve it. |

Villa Marinera in Cayo Largo |
Cayo
Largo is Cuba’s largest sea turtle nesting site amidst the finest
beach, the broad westward-facing Playa Sirena, where 2km of natural,
powdery white sand remains cool to the feet. This dreamy key is an
ecological reserve within Cuba’s National Marine Park System with
abundant pelagic marine life including sharks, grouper, tarpon &
rays with clouds of schooling fish. Due to its remoteness, few
Americans have ever dived this southern little island off the
mainland, easily classified as the top land-based diving area in
Cuba. Stay at Villa Marinera (these charming remodeled cabins just
reopened July 2022 with terrific food!) & join Cuba Scuba’s team led
by local marine biologists to discover this hidden treasure to help
shape humanitarian- environmental conservation projects. |

Havana |
Havana
is located on La Habana (Havana) Bay on the island’s north coast. It is the
largest city in the Caribbean region and has one of the great treasuries of
historic colonial preserves in the Western Hemisphere. Prior to 1959, when
Fidel Castro came to power, it was a mecca for tourists from the United
States, who were drawn by the city’s many attractions, which included
climate and nightlife in addition to history. |
