Join Scuba Center instructors Mary and Brett Nelson for a fun dive to
collect the evasive Chinese Snails. The dive will be held on July 8th starting
at 10am at Whitefish Lake near Gorden WI (approximately 2.5 hours from the
Twin Cities). We will be conducting dives to find and remove these
snails which are polluting the lake. All levels of dive experience are
welcome. The average visibility is 20-30 feet and water temperature is above
65 degrees. Since the snails are concentrated nearer the shore, the depth of
the dives will be between 8 and 22 feet. Non divers are also welcome as
snorkeling for the snails is also an option. Divers and non divers will need to bring all
equipment needed for a dive or snorkel. Nets and surface markers will be
provided by Brett and Mary. Lunch will also be provided. A detailed map and further instructions will be sent out to those who register. |
