Solomon Islands: Oct.
19-29, 2026 * |
* Does not include
international travel days. |
If
you’ve been in the diving world for a while, you’ve most certainly heard
of the Bilikiki! One of the most highly-revered liveaboard experiences
in the world, the Bilikiki is not flashy, but she packs a seriously
unforgettable time. |
|
Perhaps
a lesser known destination, the Solomon Islands sit within the magnificent
Coral Triangle among its much more visited neighbors; The Philippines and
Indonesia.
Made up of over 990 islands, each main island area has its
own language, culture and traditions. Visiting a local village or two is a
must for anyone visiting the islands. See the famous wood carvers from the
Western Provence, hear the catchy sounds of modern day pan pipe music played
on PVC piping and a pair of old flip flops, watch men and women perform
custom dances, be traditionally greeted by warriors or escorted into a
village by a “war canoe”. The best way to see a country of islands and to
dive their waters is by liveaboard and the Bilikiki has been operating in
these islands for more than 28 years, making her a Solomon local.
|
|
The main attraction for us, however, is the diving! While the Coral Triangle
covers only 1.6% of Earth’s oceanic area, over 70% of the ocean’s coral
species live here - boasting a biodiversity full of thousands of fish,
crustacean, and mammal species. It’s truly a diver’s haven! |
|
Dive
into a world of pelagics, small critters, wrecks, caves, amazingly healthy
coral gardens, sand slopes, mangroves, walls and seamounts. Despite the
beauty of the Solomon Islands, there aren’t a lot of operators located here.
This means that dive sites remain relatively untouched and you’ll most often
be the only divers around. Jump in for a truly serene and magical experience
aboard the Bilikiki. Sign up today! |
Here are a few recent guest reviews of the MV Bilikiki: |
“My bucket list trip. Outstanding crew and service. Superb diving. Stable
and comfortable vessel and accommodations. The chefs do a marvelous job,
even catering to vegan and gluten free diets. Can't say enough good things
about them. Just do it!" |
|
"I had an amazing 10 nights onboard the
Bilikiki! The dive sites were so diverse and so beautiful. We had some
amazing encounters with wildlife, the crew is phenomenal and has so much
energy and enthusiasm for what they do, and lastly it is so well organized
and run which allowed us to dive to our hearts content. The dive deck is
spacious and well sorted making suiting up and getting back on the boat so
easy. We will be heading back next year!" |
|
"Always a great time on the
Bilikiki. Spectacular diving, excellent food and an amazing crew. One of the
best laid out boats I've been diving on." |
