Let's start packing! Dive travel is a natural
extension of learning to dive. Many people begin diving to
experience the beauty they have seen on television, online or in books.
Dive travel includes more than underwater exploration; it’s also about
delving into the sights, sounds, tastes, and even shopping of different
cultures. |

|
Cayo Largo is
Cuba’s largest sea turtle nesting site amidst the
finest beach, the broad westward-facing Playa
Sirena, where 2km of natural, powdery white sand
remains cool to the feet. This dreamy key is an
ecological reserve within Cuba’s National Marine
Park System with abundant pelagic marine life
including sharks, grouper, tarpon & rays with clouds
of schooling fish. Due to its remoteness, few
Americans have ever dived this southern little
island off the mainland, easily classified as the
top land-based diving area in Cuba. Stay at Villa
Marinera (these charming remodeled cabins just
reopened July 2022 with terrific food!) & join Cuba
Scuba’s team led by local marine biologists to
discover this hidden treasure to help shape
humanitarian- environmental conservation projects. |

Cozumel: Jan 13-20, 2024 |
|
Cozumel (Mayan for
Island of Swallows) is located in the Caribbean Sea
off the eastern coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula
(Approximately 51 miles south of Cancún and 12 miles
from the mainland.). It is one of the eight
municipalities of the Mexican state of Quintana Roo.
The Maya are believed to have settled Cozumel by the
early part of the first millennium A.D., and older
preclassic Olmec artifacts have been found on the
island as well. In 1961, famed undersea explorer
Jacques Cousteau discovered the extent and beauty of
Palancar, the coral reefs at the south of Cozumel
and publicized it as one of the most beautiful scuba
diving areas of the world. By 1970, the population
of Cozumel had reached 10,000 and today some 90,000
people inhabit this island paradise. |

Soccoro Islands: May 7-15, 2024 * |
|
You can see giant
mantas in many places around the world. But nowhere
else boasts a population of giant mantas that
literally seek out interaction with divers and
snorkellers. While mantas are the main reason to
voyage out to Socorro, there are lots of other
animals to see, including schooling hammerheads and
silky sharks, plus 10 other species of sharks,
bottlenose dolphins that consistently hang out with
divers at certain dive sites, large schools of
pelagic fish, and, in season, humpback whales. The
Nautilus UnderSea first entered service in 1968 as
the personal submarine tender to Dr. Perry of Perry
Oceanographic. This sturdy and brave ship became one
of the most famous dive boats in the world as the
Undersea Hunter voyaging out to Cocos Island and in
IMAX adventures around the South Pacific. Nautilus
graced the ship with a massive shipyard refit
including: stretching the hull out to 105 feet, a
new superstructure and extended sun deck, a bulbous
bow and stability system. |

St. Lucia: Dec 7-14, 2024 |
|
Welcome to Anse
Chastanet, Saint Lucia. Architect owner Nick
Troubetzkoy believes passionately in nature. So he
created a hotel that makes the foliage and the
flowers, the perfumes and the peaks, the sea and the
bird song an integral part of your vacation
experience. The estate encompasses 600 lush tropical
acres bordering two soft sand beaches. Not only do
you get a World Heritage Site anchored by the twin
peaks on land, the resort’s two crystal-clear bays
are part of a designated marine reserve protecting
miles of colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical
fish. Being located on the Caribbean coastline, the
Anse Chastanet and Anse Mamin beaches and bay are
perfect for sun bathing and swimming in calm crystal
clear waters. Anse Chastanet is in the heart of St.
Lucia's marine reserves and therefore offers
excellent snorkelling and scuba diving right off
shore. |

|
Imagine a 116 foot
yacht that accommodates small groups of 12 divers in
6 large suites. The beautiful Gallant Lady combines
the luxury of a yacht with the thoughtful design of
a dive deck built for divers. The yacht features a

During October to January, a magical event happens
in the nutrient rich swirling blue waters off
Magdalena Bay where striped marlin gather to hunt on
the second largest sardine run in the world. This
thrilling underwater action is spectacular. There is
an excellent chance of also seeing California sea
